Does the hotel arrange for land and sea transfer ?

Our resort provides scheduled land and boat transfers from Tawau/ Semporna Hotel, Tawau airport to Mabul Island as per below :

Hotel Transfer:

  •  Tawau Hotel to Semporna Jetty/Tawau Airport: 07:30 to 11:30
  • Semporna Hotel to Tawau Hotel/Tawau Airport: 07:30 to 14:30


Arrival Transfer:

  • Tawau Airport to Semporna Jetty: 08:30 to 14:30
  • Semporna Jetty to SWV Resort: 09:00 to 15:30


Departure Transfer:

  • SWV Resort to Semporna Jetty: 06:30 to 13:30
  • Semporna Jetty to Tawau Airport: 07:30 to 14:30


Note: No boat transfers after 18:00 HRS. Schedules are subject to change. Contact us in advance for personalized arrangements.

Can I dive or snorkel at Sipadan ?

Sipadan Island access requires a permit with limited daily quotas. Out of 176 daily permits, our resort has a quota of twelve (12) daily slots.
Permit will be applied to Sabah Park one day before and application must be submitted before 1130, ensuring accurate details, as no changes are allowed afterward.
Note that government conservation efforts may affect daily diving availability.

IMPORTANT: Only those with an Advanced Open Water License or equivalent can dive in Sipadan. Two (2) dives are allowed daily at different spots, with Barracuda Point limited to one (1) dive per day per diver.

For a guaranteed day dive, a 5D4N stay is recommended, with a RM450.00 levy per diver and RM250.00 per snorkeler. Priority for permits is given to divers. Additional permits are RM650.00 per diver per day and RM350.00 per snorkeler per day.

Stays under 4 nights are not guaranteed, but with a surcharge, we can arrange a permit.

CLOSURE NOTICE: Sipadan is closed for water activities from November 1st to 30th annually for recuperation; any changes will be communicated by Sabah Park

RESERVATION

To make a reservation, please provide all person's full details like full name as stated in IC or Passport, IC number for Malaysian or Passport number for Foreigner, date of birth, gender, and nationality to issue a Proforma Invoice (PI) to make a payment based on the reservation policy to secure the room blocked.


For flight or hotel information, you may update us once everything is confirmed. 


Important Note: Please make sure personal details like full name, IC number or Passport Number, and date of birth you provided are exactly as per your IC or Passport to avoid penalty charges at the resort upon arrival. We reserve the right to charge RM100.00 per pax if the name changes or is not the same as registered.  

CHILD & INFANT POLICY

The child or infant has to share the room with parents otherwise we have to charge them based on adult packages.  The age of the child or infant counts based on the year of born.


CHILD > 11 years old < 4 years old

  • Children 4 – 11 years old charge 50% from Adult Packages resort will provide/ put one (1) extra bed for select room ONLY.  
  • Children with certified divers will have to pay FULL RATE diving packages regardless of their age. 


INFANT > 3 years old

  • Infants 0 months – 3 years old charge 10% from adult packages and do not occupy separate beds. 


Important Note: One (1) adult stays together with one (1) child/ infant, the child/ infant we’ll charge based on the adult rate. 

SINGLE SUPPLEMENT

We will consider and charge you based on a single supplement if you come alone or request to stay alone in a room meant for two/triple rooms. An additional surcharge will apply to our rate.

CONFIRMATION/SERVICE VOUCHER

The confirmation or service voucher is issued after we get full payment from your side. The voucher stated all information like check-in and check-out date, guest’s full details, packages, and so on. 


Please ensure that all information in our confirmation or service voucher is correct before acknowledgment is received. Any amendment or changes upon arrival will not be served. 

E-REGISTRATION CARD

All our guests are required to scan our QR as stated in the confirmation or service voucher at least three (3) days before the check-in date. This step is to prevent you from having to fill out the registration card at our resort and avoid congestion when you check-in. 


However, our receptionist will print out this E-Registration for you to sign it upon check-in.  




PAYMENT POLICY

To confirm your reservation, we will require payment as follows;


10% DEPOSIT

  • Required upon confirmation of the booking.
  • The period to make a deposit is 7 days after the Proforma Invoice (PI) is issued. 
  • Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE but transferable with an administrative fee, of RM100.00 per pax for name changes.


REMAINING BALANCE

  • Would be required 21 days before the trip commenced. 


Note: For a new booking, the check-in date is within 21 days; must make a full payment supposedly to 10% deposit to confirm the booking reservation and to secure the rooms blocked. 


We are accepting payment by Credit Card, Bank-In, and Telegraphic Transfer (TT). Below are our bank details for Bank-In & Telegraphic Transfer (TT);

Note: Payment by Credit Card needs to fulfill our Letter of Authorization (LOA) and be signed by the credit card holder. The LOA form needs to be requested from our salesperson.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If the change or cancellations is due to force majeure events (including without limitation political unrest, war or threat of war riots, civil strife, closure of airports or ports, industries disputers, terrorist activity, natural and nuclear disasters, fire, epidemic or health risk, acts of God, flood, adverse weather conditions or other similar events beyond Sipadan Water Village Resort Sdn. Bhd’s control), you are agreeing NO REFUND will be made by Sipadan Water Village Resort Sdn. Bhd.

In the event of cancellation, the following cancellation charges shall apply:

A NON-REFUNDABLE, 10% DEPOSIT FROM THE TOTAL PACKAGE PAID

PERIOD OF NOTICE, CANCELLATION FEE

  • 21 days to 15 days before arrival - 50% of the trip's full price forfeited
  • 14 days to 08 days before arrival - 70% of the trip's full price forfeited
  • 07 days to 01 days before arrival - 90% of the trip's full price forfeited
  • No show of customer - 100% of the trip's full price forfeited


NOTE REFUND: If payment is by credit card, will deduct another 3% bank charge from the amount before refunding the balance payment, and the time of refund is at least 3 to 6 months from the date of application.

INSURANCE

We strongly recommend that all our guests buy their travel insurance before they travel out from your place. 

HEALTH ADVISE & EMERGENCY

For your information, the nearest clinic or hospital is only 45 minutes from our resort which is located at Semporna Town, and must be by boat from our resort.  Thus, for those who have a medical record, please bring your own medicine. 


Our resort just provides basic medicine such as paracetamol and diarrhea at our reception. You can notify our receptionist if you need the basic medicine. 


For any emergency, please inform our receptionist during working hours until 22:00 and after 22:01, please inform standby security in the lobby area. Thus, they will be on the spot to notify our management. If you request boat or land services, we have the right to consider chartering our services because is out from out standard schedule. However, our side can issue an official letter for an insurance claim (anyone who has travel insurance).


Charter Services: The charge is RM848.00 per boat per way for boat transfer and RM265.00 per van per way for van transfer. However, is subject to availability upon request.
